Phat Geez Killed: Rapper Shot Dead In Brewerytown
Detectives are investigating the murder of a popular rapper in Philadelphia on Sunday night, March 17. Derrick Gant, who performs under the stage name Phat Geez, was shot multiple times on the 1200 block of North Taney Avenue, according to city police. Authorities said it happened around 10:15 p.m. Gant was found lying in the street and was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital where he died at 10:30 p.m., police said.
