Potential Measles Exposure In Montgomery County: Health Officials
Public health authorities in Montgomery County are warning of potential exposure to the measles virus. City health officials are warning of five more places and times where city residents may have been exposed to the measles virus in December. The announcement comes weeks after a potential exposure incident was reported at the Jefferson Health building in Center City. Possible Measles Exposure In Philadelphia Doctor's Office, Health Department Warns
The Philadelphia Health Department is warning residents of a possible measles exposure in the city earlier this month. Anyone who was in the Jefferson Health building at 33 S. 9th St., formerly 833 Chestnut St., on Tuesday, Dec. 19 between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., may have been exposed to the virus, the city's health department said. Measles In Eastern PA: Officials
Montgomery County officials are investigating a case of measles in the area. The patient is an unvaccinated child, and the Office of Public Health is conducting contact tracing "in coordination with (...) the child’s guardian," authorities said in a release Friday, July 28. "Identified individuals will be contacted and notified of potential exposure to measles and assess each individual’s vaccination status and risk for infection," said MCOPH.
