Suspect Found Dead After Standoff In Scranton Home: Police A man has died and a woman is injured after a "domestic dispute" in Scranton on Saturday, June 8, according to city police.  Authorities said they were called to 1612 Pine Street for reports of arguing and gunfire around 10 a.m. A 27-year-old woman was found with "a gunshot wound to the upper extremity" and taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center, police said.  Her wounds were described as non-life-threatening. Woman Killed By Neighbor In Northeast Philly 'Dispute,' Police Say A Tacony man is in custody after an hour-long standoff on Tuesday, June 4, Philadelphia police told Daily Voice.  Authorities said they were called to the 7100 block of Montague Street just before noon for a "neighbor dispute." They arrived to find a 65-year-old woman dead with gunshot wounds, police said.  A suspect "refused to exit the property" and police declared a barricade situation, PPD said. He was taken into custody around 1:20 p.m.  Authorities did not identify the victim.

Chief Russell passed away from an "off duty medical death," according to the Greencastle PD. No additional information about his death was available at the time of publishing.  He had only been sworn in as chief on May 6, 2024, the department explained. The promotion came after 23 years of police service.
