A 2-year-old child was in critical condition and required amputation of their arm after being struck by a fallen tree while playing outside in Montgomery County, police said. The toddler was playing in the driveway on the 7900 block of Chandler Road in Glenside with other children when they were struck by the tree that had fallen 50 feet just after 6 p.m. Saturday, July 6, Cheltenham police said. Harrisburg 4-Year-Old's Accused Shooter Arrested In Philadelphia: US Marshals
The man suspected of shooting a 4-year-old girl in Harrisburg last year was taken into custody by US Marshals on Tuesday, April 23, officials say. Shawn Jason, 47, was arrested at a hotel on Island Avenue, Marshals said in a release. Authorities previously said Jason shot three people during a five-hour standoff last Sept 9. Police said he was armed with a rifle when he forced his way into a home on the 1800 block of North Street following a dispute with neighbors. Action News has released the names of the pilot and team photographer killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday night, Dec. 19 in New Jersey. Monroe Smith, 67, of Glenside, PA, was the pilot, and Christopher Dougherty, 45, of Oreland, PA, was the photographer, according to the news station. A former employe of a Montgomery County youth swimming school was six months pregnant and told sex offenders online that she planned on sexually abusing her own baby when she gave birth, federal authorities said. Danielle Sebenick, 29, of Glenside, was sentenced to seven years in prison with ten years of supervised release by United States District Court Judge Petrese B. Investigators on Friday announced charges against a Glenside man whom they busted with more than 300 photos, and 70 videos of child pornography.
