Crews Battle Blaze In Allentown
First responders were called to an apartment building in Allentown for a three-alarm fire on Monday evening, July 8. The blaze broke out on the 1100 block of Hamilton Street around 5:30 p.m., said firefighters. Crews were still on the scene as late as 10:30 p.m., according to city fire officials. Photos from the scene showed heavy smoke and visible flames from a row building block containing apartments and businesses on the ground floor. Authorities responded to the scene of a house fire in Royersford on Wednesday evening, March 20, according to borough officials. Days after a "1,000-year flood" drenched portions of the Northeastern US over the weekend, Berks County residents impacted by the rainfall are beginning to rebuild. Heavy downpours from a powerful storm system have left communities throughout the region in disrepair and have killed at least one person in New York state, Daily Voice has reported. Six Families Displaced By Easter Sunday Fire In Chester County
Easter Sunday went up in flames for six Chester County families, now without homes. The blaze broke out just before 3 a.m. Sunday, April 9 on the 100 block of Washington Street in Parkesburg, responders said. Firefighters arrived to find two homes engulfed in flames, which had spread to four more as of 3:15 a.m., the Keystone Valley Fire Department said. A five-alarm fire started in a 12th-floor apartment left one dead, two injured, and 106 displaced, authorities say.
