1 Dead, 1 Critical When Car Slams Concrete Barrier In Philadelphia One person died and another was critically injured in a Philadelphia crash Thursday, Sept. 7, police said. It happened at 600 N. Delaware Avenue around 6:15 p.m., police said. A 58-year-old man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 7:05 p.m. One of two passengers was placed in critical condition, while an update on the third victim wasn't immediately available. Footage from the scene posted to Citizen shows first responders extricating the victims from an older Honda sedan that struck the concrete barrier.

Driver Struck By Train, Pushed 200 Feet, Police In Pennsylvania Say A 29-year-old man was driving a car that stopped train tracks and ending up getting pushed and rolled off the tracks, police announced on Wednesda night.  Kaden Stetler of Horseshoe Road in Lancaster was driving a silver 2009 Ford Edge that stopped on the tracks in the 300 block of Willow Road for an unknown reason shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, according to East Lampeter Township police.  A Norfolk Southern train struck Steltler's Ford on the passenger side – pushing it approximately 200 feet – then the car "dislodged" and rolled off of the tracks, the police said.  …

PA Dad Killed In Head-On Crash On Turnpike A driver is dead following an early morning crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  Chad E. Condon, 47, of Prospect Park, died from blunt-force chest injuries just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said. The manner of death was ruled accidental. The Allentown-bound truck was cut off by another vehicle on Rt. 22 at St. James Avenue just before 12:50 p.m. in Pohatcong, local police said. The other vehicle collided with the truck and caused the truck to swerve off the road. Man Killed In Lehigh Valley Crash ID'd By Coroner Officials have identified the man who died in a Bethlehem Township car accident on Tuesday, Aug. 8 as 64-year-old David Capelles.  Capelles crashed on the 3600 block of North Hecktown Road, said Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek in a release. First responders took him to St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus where doctors pronounced him dead, the coroner said.  The cause of death was ruled multiple blunt force trauma and the manner accidental.  "No other information will be released at this time," Lysek said.
