The Williamsport Bureau of Police and the Williamsport Bureau of Fire launched a joint investigation on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, following a series of suspected arsons across multiple locations in the city. Authorities reported four incidents, each involving intentional fires or vandalism, throughout the day. Large Brush Fire Closes Part Of Rt 32 In Bucks County: Police
A large brush fire has closed part of Route 32 in Bucks County on Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, police say. The closure of Route 32/River Road is between Aquetong Road and Route 232, according to Solebury police. The announcement came out at 12:29 p.m., but there is no word on how long the closure is expected to last. No injuries have been reported. Brush Fire Shuts Down I-76 East In Philadelphia: Officials
Authorities responded to a brush fire on the railroad tracks near Interstate 76 in Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon, May 21. Husky Frightened By Fireworks Rescued 1.5 Miles Off Jersey Shore (

A Siberian Husky fleeing from noisy fireworks was rescued by Monmouth County Sheriff's Officers off the Jersey Shore. Caiden, a 10-year-old dog, was saved after swimming about a mile and a half off Union Beach, authorities said. Sheriffs' Officers Michael Forgione and Kasey Collins located Caiden and brought him on board in the Raritan Bay, navigating shallow waters to reunite him with his grateful owner. Car Crashes, Flips In Aston
One person was evaluated in a crash that flipped a car Monday morning in Delaware County, fire officials said. Aston firefighters responded to the accident on the 800 block of Lamp Post Lane where one of the vehicles had overturned, firefighters said in a social media post. The nature of the injuries were unclear. Firefighters on the return trip knocked down a brush fire on the 100 block of Maple Avenue, which was contained to a small area of a rear home. Bristol Borough Fire Crews Extinguish Overnight Brush Fire
Fire crews extinguished a brush fire that broke out overnight in Bristol Borough, authorities said. Firefighters arrived at the Delaware canal lagoon park on reports of an explosion and fire early Wednesday morning, according to the Bristol Consolidated Fire Company. Fire crews found brush and trees burning along the railroad embankment, authorities said. Due to the lack of space for large fire trucks, crews requested two brush trucks and an additional water line, authorities said. Crews were on scene extinguishing the fire and hitting hot spots for about an hour.
