911 Knocked Out Across PA Due To Verizon Outage: Officials
More than a dozen Pennsylvania counties experienced loss of access to 911 services due to a Verizon outage on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 7 and 8, state officials say. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency said around 6 p.m. Thursday that 16 different counties had their service interrupted as a result of the outage, including: Bradford Carbon Columbia Clinton Lackawanna Luzerne Lycoming Montour Pike Schuylkill Snyder Sullivan Susquehanna Tioga Wayne Wyoming Also affected were Monroe and Schuylkill counties, their emergency management services confirmed in separate …

2 Winning PA Lottery New Years Millionaire Raffle Tickets Sold
Two winning Pennsylvania Lottery tickets for the New Year's Millionaire Raffle have been sold, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery. The winning tickets were drawn the fourth of eight weekly drawings for $50,000 as part of the Annual New Year's raffle which goes through Jan. 8, 2022. Pennsylvania HS Senior Wins National Taco Bell Scholarship For $25K
A high school senior and Taco Bell employee in Cumberland County won the national Taco Bell scholarship contest, according to the company’s foundation’s website. Emma Seibert, of Enola works at the Taco Bell on Market Place Way and earlier this week she find out that she won the biggest scholarship her employer offers. Her $25,000 scholarship will help cover her tuition at John Hopkins University where she plans to study nursing.
