A man accused of shooting at Whitehall police and prompting a shelter-in-place order early Monday, May 9 was charged with attempted murder, LehighValleyLive reports. Olric James Jr., 24, apparently shot a police car responding to reports of a disturbance multiple times on the first block of Jordan Drive in Whitehall Township around 4:30 a.m., then fled the scene.
