New Tropical System In Atlantic Being Watched By Forecasters Forecasters are monitoring a new system in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. It's located a few hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands in West Africa. The experiments are part of NASA's RockOn and RockSat-C programs, which will take flight early Thursday morning, June 22, alongside experiments from students at more than two dozen other universities across the U.S. The PA schools participating in the program are University of Scranton, Lincoln University and Temple University.
