Hoarding Case Puppies Among 170 Animals Seized Desperately Need To Be Adopted: Rescuers
Rescuers are pleading for the public to adopt puppies and other animals seized in a Pennsylvania hoarding case this week. More than 170 animals were seized from an Effort (Monroe County) home on Friday, July 14, after the homeowner died, the PSPCA said. The animals were taken to various shelters in the area, but the PSPCA said conditions were already overcrowded — and are begging for future pet owners to adopt. Abused, Neglected 'Lucky' Rescued By Local Police, Animal Welfare Center In NJ
An abused and neglected dog found by police investigating a crime on Christmas Eve is fortunate to be alive. So his adoptive name makes perfect sense. Officers from Irvington found the dog they named Lucky so severely injured that a leg had to be amputated. PA Family's Adopted Dog From Middle East Tests Positive For Rabies
The CDC has initiated a multi-state investigation after a Chester County family adopted a dog from the Middle East that was later determined to have a previously eradicated variant of rabies, reports say. The dog was one of 34 animals that were flown from Azerbaijan to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport by an animal rescue group on June 10, CBS reports.
