Man With Machete Shot Dead By Police In East Greenville: Montgomery County DA A man barricaded in a basement with a hatchet and a machete following a fight with a teenager has been shot dead, the Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Suspect Found Dead After Standoff In Scranton Home: Police A man has died and a woman is injured after a "domestic dispute" in Scranton on Saturday, June 8, according to city police.  Authorities said they were called to 1612 Pine Street for reports of arguing and gunfire around 10 a.m. A 27-year-old woman was found with "a gunshot wound to the upper extremity" and taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center, police said.  Her wounds were described as non-life-threatening.
