Black bears have been sighted in multiple Lower Saucon Township neighborhoods, according to police. The black bears were seen in the areas of Rosalie Drive, Obrien's Court, and Four Seasons, The Lower Saucon Township Police Department announced on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. This isn't the first time black bears have been seen in the township. Storm Downs Power Lines, Closes Roads In Lehigh, Northampton Counties (

Area police reported scattered outages as wind and rain pulled down power lines. Lower Saucon Township police reported that Lower Saucon Road was closed between Woodland Road and Woodland Hills Court due to a tree down on power wires. Upper Saucon Township police reported that Oakhurst Drive was closed between Stonesthrow Road and Old Bethlehem Pike due to utility lines across the roadway. The incidents were reported late morning on Friday, Aug. 9. Meanwhile, due to the severe weather, the Doylestown Township Administrative Offices closed at 2:30 p.m.

Package Thief Caught On Video In Northampton County, Police Say
Lower Saucon police are looking for the man who swiped an Apple Watch from a porch just minutes after it was delivered on Monday, May 20. Authorities said the suspect stole the package shortly after it was dropped off by a FedEx driver on the 1900 block of Sunderland Drive. He was wearing a blue Amazon vest and fled in a white sedan with tinted windows.
