Suicidal NJ Man Crashes, BMW Catches Fire After Police Chase On Route 22: PA State Troopers A suicidal man crashed his vehicle and was ejected after leading Pennsylvania State Police on a chase along Route 22 in South Whitehall Township, authorities announced. Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Fogelsville Crime Unit were alerted to a suicidal male traveling into Pennsylvania from New Jersey on Monday, Dec. 16, at approximately 11:30 a.m., according to a release. Gerald William Spoto, 42, of Disk Lane in Bristol Township, pleaded guilty in July to nearly three dozen charges for crimes committed between the late 1990s and 2023.
