The 53-year-old man who died in a head-on crash involving a tractor-trailer on Lincoln Highway/US Route 30 has been identified, according to the York County Coroner's office on Thursday, July 25. Michael "Mike" Kenemore, of the 300 block of Wynwood Rd, Springettsbury Township's 2004 Ford F-250 was going east in the 7000 block of the highway when, for an unknown reason he left his lane, entering the westbound traffic, and striking a 2006 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer head-on, as explained in the coroner's release. A GoFundMe has been launched to help a family who escaped from a house fire saving their lives but costing them all of them everything else — including the family dog and cat. Jim and Shannon Eves along with their daughter Ella, survived the fire at their home in the first block of West Orange Street in Lititz which started around 6 a.m., Thursday, July 25, according to the fundraiser started by their son Hunter's girlfriend, Cambrie Kagan, and an earlier release by the police. PennDOT Work To Begin In Plumstead, Police Say
Crews will begin work on Old East Road in Plumstead beginning Tuesday, July 23, township police announced. The street will be shut down from Curly Hill Road to Route 611 all day for drainage pipe replacement, authorities wrote in a release. Only emergency traffic will be allowed, police said. Drivers are asked to plan alternate routes, including Curly Hill Road between Easton Road and Old Easton Road or Point Pleasant Pike.

All lanes of Interstate 78 are closed in Williams Township after a crash near the New Jersey border, according to transportation officials. The wreck happened in the westbound lanes near Exit 71 (PA 33) around 2:35 p.m., said PennDOT on the 511pa website. Car Hit By Falling Tree On I-476 In Delco: Police
A tree fell on a car on Interstate 476, sending one person to the hospital on Thursday morning, July 18, according to state police. The driver of a Toyota Rav4 was seriously injured, troopers said. Two other cars were struck by debris but no one inside them was injured, authorities added. I-476 between Route 3 (Marple) and Route 30 (Radnor) was down to one lane of travel as of 12:30 p.m., state police said.

A 45-year-old Easton, PA man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 78 in New Jersey on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 10:04 p.m., a BMW motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Greenwich Township struck the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was ejected and was subsequently struck by a 2020 Toyota Camry, killing him, Marchan said. The crash happened on US Rt 1 South near the ramp to Route 252 (Providence Road) around 8 a.m. on July 2, authorities say. A trailer disengaged from the truck that towing it, causing a crash on Bristol Road on Sunday, June 30. Warrington police said Bristol Road was shut down from Lower State Road to Timber Lane around 12:30 p.m. The road was reopened for through traffic by 2:30 p.m. "Thankfully (and remarkably) there were no serious injuries," police said.

PennDOT crews are repairing a sinkhole on River Road/Route 32, officials say. According to Tinicum police, River Road is closed from Route 611 (Easton Road) to Bridgeton Hill Road in Nockamixon and Bridgeton townships. Drivers should use Bridgeton Hill Road/Marienstein Road and Route 611 (Easton Road) instead of Route 32. Expect traffic slowdowns in the area, officials said.

A man and a woman are hospitalized after an early morning wreck on Route 322, Downingtown police say. A silver Honda Fit and a white Chevrolet Equinox collided on the 600 block just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, authorities said. Both were taken to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center while Route 322/Brandywine Avenue was shut down for more than three hours. The crash remains under investigation and anyone who witnessed it is asked to call 610-269-0263 or email traffic@downingtown.org.

Detour Ahead: Overnight Road Work Scheduled To Begin In Montgomery County
PennDOT crews will be repaving Pine Road in Lower Moreland Township beginning Friday, May 31, officials say. Work will be ongoing from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Friday through Monday, June 10.
