PA Woman Who Shot, Dismembered Parents With Chainsaw Sentenced: DA
An Abington woman charged with shooting her parents and dismembering their bodies with a chainsaw was sentenced Monday, Sept. 30, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office told Daily Voice the following day. Verity Beck, 45, pleaded "guilty but mentally ill" to two first-degree murder counts, the district attorney's office said. She was given two life sentences that will be served concurrently. Man Sentenced For Trying To Meet Girl For Sex In Bucks County: DA
A Pottstown man was sentenced to 8 ½ to 17 years in Pennsylvania State Prison for trying to meet a 12-year-old girl for sex in Bensalem Township, authorities said. Uturah Golson, 33, pleaded guilty in April to criminal attempt to commit rape of a child, criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and criminal solicitation to photograph or film a child sex act, according to the Bucks County District Attorney. Caretaker Who Faked Cancer Admits To Stealing From Seniors: Bucks County DA
A Bensalem caretaker who stole from two elderly clients and faked having cancer to delay her court proceedings could spend nearly two years in prison, according to officials. Shannon Lynn Eberhart, 48, pleaded guilty to financial exploitation and theft charges in March, said the Bucks County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday, July 10.
