A man whose body was recovered where the Lehigh and Delaware rivers meet has been identified, authorities announced on Monday, June 22. Andre Fighera, 48, of Bethlehem, was found in the area of the rivers' confluence in Easton on Sunday, June 21, according to the Northampton County Coroner's Office. Child Drowning Dangers Trigger Recall Of Popular Backyard Pools
Thousands of above-ground swimming pools are being recalled because a design feature could allow children to climb in and drown. The recall affects about 4,000 Evajoy above-ground pools that are 48 inches tall or higher, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Feb. 26. The problem stems from a compression strap that wraps around the outside of the pool and over the vertical support poles. An adult man was found dead in the Schuylkill River in South Philadelphia on Tuesday, June 10, city officials said.
