John Paul Michels, 39, surrendered to authorities following an October 21, 2024, incident on the 100 block of River Drive in Lancaster Township. Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle At Busy East Lampeter Township Intersection A woman was injured after being hit by a vehicle at a busy intersection in Lancaster County on Tuesday morning, Dec. 3, emergency dispatchers said. The pedestrian was struck at Route 896 and Lincoln Highway East/Route 30 in East Lampeter Township around 8:15 a.m., authorities said. She was transported to a hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available. Police remained at the scene as of late Tuesday morning. East Lampeter Township police are investigating the crash. This is a developing story. Pedestrian ID'd After Fatal Hit-Run Strike Near Dutch Wonderland: Coroner The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30.  John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner.
