Armed Man Shoots Self As Officer Opens Fire: Pennsylvania State Police
A 65-year-old Easton man is dead after a dramatic police chase ended in an armed standoff and gunfire in Wind Gap Borough, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday, March 16. Forks Township police and other departments pursued the man on Saturday night, March 15, until his 2016 Kia became disabled near North Broadway and Tribe Lane, state police said. As officers approached, the armed man shot himself while a Forks Township officer simultaneously fired their weapon, authorities said. A Forks Township man is accused of making threats against law enforcement on Facebook, leading to his arrest, authorities announced on Monday, Jan. 27. Michael Manuel Morinico, 40, was charged with terroristic threats after Forks Township Police were alerted by Bethlehem Police to a concerning video posted to his Facebook account on Jan. 24, police said. A 30-year-old man was shot dead in Bethlehem, authorities told Daily Voice on Saturday, Sept. 28. Altaron Amir Robinson, of Allentown, was shot in the 1900 block of Butztown Road, Bethlehem at 9:29 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, the Lehigh County Coroner detailed. The shooting was near Governor Wolf Elementary School which closed Friday while police investigated the shooting. Driver Killed In Head-On Crash In Northampton County: PSP
A 67-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in Lower Nazareth Township, authorities said. Susan Henderson, of Norristown, died as a result of injuries in the crash by a wrong-way speeding driver, Pennsylvania State Police said.
