Two Philadelphia Girls Vanished Within Days Of Each Other: Police
Philadelphia police are urgently seeking the public's help to find two teenage girls who vanished in separate incidents last week.
Byata Jahmeela Matthews, 16, was last seen on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. near the 2500 block of North 28th Street, authorities said. Byata is described as 5’1”, 138 pounds, with brown eyes and black, shoulder-length straight hair. She was last seen wearing a pink and white jacket with black pants and is known to frequent the area of 20th and Susquehanna Avenue.

Update: Missing Lancaster Teen London Davila May Be In Allentown
The search continues for 13-year-old London Davila, who was reported missing earlier this week, and authorities now believe she may be in the Allentown area, the Lancaster City Bureau of Police announced on Friday, Nov. 22.
London was last seen in Lancaster on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at 8 a.m., wearing a black sweatshirt, black puffer jacket, dark sweatpants, and pink Crocs. She is described as 4’11” tall with black hair and hazel eyes.
An anonymous tip received by the department suggested London might have traveled to Allentown, according to the release.

Driver Mows Down Two Men On Philly Crosswalk, Flees: Police
A white Lincoln plowed onto a crosswalk island, striking two men waiting to cross the street in Philadelphia, police said. The driver, 63, fled but was caught blocks away on Broad Street on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at 8:45 p.m.
The crash happened at Broad and Juniper streets in the 9th District, where the Lincoln bypassed traffic stopped at a red light, jumped the island, and hit the pedestrians, investigators said. Police stopped the vehicle on the 1700 block of North Broad Street and arrested the driver.

A Lancaster County mother is accused of giving her teenage sons access to guns used in a September shootout, police announced on Friday, Nov. 15. One of those sons has also been charged in his cousin's murder.
Brandi Whisman, 42, of New Providence, was arraigned Tuesday, Nov. 14, on charges of endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. Investigators said she gave her sons permission to take the guns whenever they wanted, providing a key and telling them where the firearms were located.

A second missing woman has been found murdered in her Philadelphia home, police announced on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Ivelisse Lugo, 51, of the 5900 block of Elsinore Street was reported as missing at 8:15 a.m., Philadelphia Police detailed in a release on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Luz L. Saez, 32, of the 500 block of Lime Street in Lancaster, smoked the crack to “stay awake”, according to an affidavit of probable cause, but grandma found the infant under his mom on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024.

A driver of a silver Jeep Cherokee, Jaadir Goodwyn, was dropping the gunshot victim off at the ER at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center located at 3900 Poweltown Avenue at 4:22 a.m., Philadelphia Police detailed.
