Man Dies After Crashing His Motor Scooter Into School Bus: Philly Police
A 41-year-old man is dead after his motor scooter struck a school bus in Philadelphia at 1:29 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, police said. The motor scooter was northbound on the sidewalk of North 2nd Street near Nedro Avenue when it struck a traffic control device, then a Dodge Journey that was parked along the street, and finally a school bus, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. The bus was stopped at the traffic light facing east on Nedro Avenue, police said. Human Remains Found Near Delaware River In Philly: Police
Bones belonging to an unidentified adult were found near the Delaware River in Philadelphia on Sunday, Nov. 3, police said. A witness stated that she was at Penn Treaty Park when she found two bones that appeared to be human shin bones at 5:02 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department. The bones were located in a grassy, rocky area along the park’s waterline, police said. The Medical Examiner’s Office collected the bones for further investigation. Two daughters are in mourning after their reportedly missing mom was found murdered in the garage of the family home and their estranged step-dad was named a "person of interest" by the Philadelphia Police Department. A Philadelphia man was sentenced to 16 months in prison for making threatening antisemitic, Islamophobic rants over the phone, authorities said. Yaniv Gola, 51, was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 22 after being charged for making phone calls threatening to injure, rape, and kill eight different victims, the US Department of Justice said in a news release. Sharell Holliday, of the 2500 block of North 32nd Street, was killed in the crash that happened in the 2200 block of Reservoir Drive, the Philadelphia Police Department said on Thursday, Oct. 17.
