A volunteer fire police officer who was struck dead in the line of duty has been identified by the York County Coroner's office on Sunday, Aug. 18. Brian Peek, 67, of Wilson Court, in Goldsboro, Newberry Township died after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Red Mill and Corn Hill roads in Newberry Township at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, according to the coroner's release and FEMA. A volunteer fire police officer was struck dead in the line of duty, Newberry Township police announced at 8:32 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16.
