Temple Student Shot Dead ID'd, Second Student Arrested In Drug Deal Gone Wrong Near Campus A Temple University student was shot and killed in a drug deal gone wrong near the North Philadelphia campus, and another student is in custody, authorities announced. The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, in the 1500 block of North Carlisle Street, outside off-campus housing for Temple students, police said. Officers from the 22nd District responded to a radio call reporting a "Person with a gun" at the scene. Nursing Student Killed By Temple Student In Philadelphia, Police Say A 20-year-old Temple University student was killed in a Philadelphia apartment near campus over the weekend, according to officials.  City police said they were called to the 1400 block of Willington Street around 4 a.m. Saturday, June 22. They arrived to find 20-year-old Milan Jones dead from "apparent blunt force trauma." Twenty-one-year-old Tymir Lackey, also a Temple student, is charged with murder and related offenses, PPD said. Investigators believe the killing was "domestic in nature." Temple officials said Jones was a rising third-year student in the University's nursing program.  …
