A former fire captain with the Paxtang Fire Company is facing charges of forgery, reckless endangerment, and driving without a license, police announced on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Steven Bartholomew, 55, allegedly created seven fraudulent training certificates from the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, presenting them as proof of advanced firefighting training, according to Swatara Township Police. A man is in custody for firing a weapon in a Warrington home, township police said in a release on Monday, July 29.
Safarie Xiong allegedly shot a gun in a residence on the 1200 Block of Palomino Drive on July 20, according to authorities. The round went through two occupied rooms but no one was injured, investigators said.
Xiong, 48, was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, police said. He is being held on a $100,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing on Aug. 5, court records show.

Shots were fired during a domestic dispute at an Allentown home Friday morning, July 26, according to city police.
