Man Stabs Girlfriend In Back, Found Dead In PA Creek Days Later(Update)
A domestic dispute turned violent when a Bethlehem man stabbed his girlfriend with a pocketknife, only to be found dead days later in Jordan Creek, Lehigh County authorities revealed on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
Daniel Leibensperger, 34, was cooking up more than trouble when he attacked his girlfriend in the kitchen of their Emmaus apartment on Wednesday, Dec. 18, police said.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Minor Street around 6:30 p.m. for an assault, only to discover the woman lying in agony with the knife still lodged in her back—handle and all, authorities said.

PA Man Found Dead In River By Dog Walker, Coroner Says
A 34-year-old man from Emmaus was found dead in Jordan Creek in Allentown, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office announced on Friday, Dec. 27.
Daniel Leibensperger, 34, was pronounced dead at 12:33 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, near the 1200 block of North 6th Street in Allentown, according to the coroner's office.
Leibensperger was reportedly found partly submerged in the creek by a passerby walking their dog, the coroner said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 30, at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center to determine the cause and manner of death.

Recent HS Grad Suffers 3rd Degree Burns On 85% Of Body, PA Community Rallies
An 18-year-old graduate of Emmaus High School has died as a result of burns from a bonfire, authorities said.
Julian Díaz died on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 4 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, after suffering bruns on 84 percent of his body, according to the Lehigh County Coroner.
"He was a funny loving caring son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend," his uncle, Jonathan Gring of Emmaus said on a GoFundMe page. "He always made everyone laugh and if you knew you were going to be around Julian, you knew you were in for some kinda entertainment."
