Teen Shot In Head At Recording Studio: Philadelphia Police
A 15-year-old is in critical condition after a North Philadelphia shooting on Friday evening, July 26, police said. The victim was shot in the left side of the head in a third-floor recording studio, according to authorities. It happened on the 2600 block of Germantown Avenue just before 5 p.m. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, police said. No arrests had been made and no weapons recovered as of 6 p.m. Friday.

Patrol Vehicle Crash Sends 1 To Hospital: Philadelphia PD
An officer "operating a marked patrol vehicle was involved with a private vehicle", sending one person to the hospital on Monday morning, July 22, Philadelphia Police announced. The crash happened in the 18th District, at 57th Street and Larchwood Avenue at 6:09 a.m., as stated in the release. The officer was not injured, but the driver of the private vehicle was taken by Medic 9 to Jefferson Hospital for evaluation. The scene is being held. CID is the lead investigation unit. A dad of four young children, who is also a local business owner, needs a new hand — possibly two — following a fireworks accident on Independence Day, according to a GoFundMe campaign page launched to help his family on July 17. PA State Police Car Catches Fire On Route 80
A PSP vehicle caught fire on a Luzerne County highway late Monday, July 15, according to officials. The blaze happened on Route 80 near mile marker 272.1, said White Haven Fire Company. Troopers brought the flames under control by the time firefighters arrived, and a hose was used to soak down the engine compartment, authorities said. No one was injured, the fire company added. A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to a hospital after a crash involving an ambulance heading to an emergency in Cape May County, authorities said. Middle Township police responded to the crash on Route 9 North at around 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, the department said in a news release. A driver was extricated from their car and sent to an area hospital after a multi-car accident in Feasterville on Wednesday, June 26. A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was hospitalized after being struck by a tractor trailer on I-76 overnight in Philadelphia, police said. The officer was conducting stationary work enforcement in the westbound lanes with his emergency lights fully activated near milepost 340.5 in Philadelphia, when he was struck around 3:50 a.m., a spokesperson for the agency said.
