Wawa snagged a higher spot than Sheetz on Forbes' 2024 list of America’s largest private companies, underscoring its dominance in the convenience store industry. The list, released earlier this week, evaluates companies based on revenue, employee numbers, and other metrics.

$100K Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Pennsylvania
A Powerball ticket worth $100,000 was sold at a Wawa in Montgomery County for the Monday, Dec. 2 drawing, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The ticket, purchased with the Power Play option, matched four of the five white balls—3, 9, 26, 61, 67—and the red Powerball 13, doubling its winnings to $100,000. Without Power Play, the ticket would have been worth $50,000, lottery officials said.
The lucky ticket was sold at the Wawa located at 934 Main St. in Royersford, earning the retailer a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Authorities have arrested a Pennsylvania man who allegedly tried abducting a 7-year-old boy at a South Jersey Wawa by luring him with candy.
Thomas Cannon, 79, of Camp Hill, was arrested in connection with the incident on Thursday, June 1, 2023, according to Cumberland County NJ Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
