Explosion Injures One, Damages Vehicles At PA Turnpike Service Plaza An explosion rocked the Blue Mountain Service Plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Tuesday, Nov. 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The blast occurred in the rear commercial vehicle parking lot of the westbound plaza at mile marker 202.5 in Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, at approximately 4:55 a.m., authorities said. A preliminary investigation revealed the explosion was caused by a propane leak inside a 2003 Ford RV with Delaware registration, troopers reported. The vehicle was destroyed in the incident. Tractor-Trailer Rollover Cause Closure At PA Turnpike Ramp In Lancaster A tractor-trailer rollover crash has caused a closure at the on-ramp for the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 76, officials said.  The tractor-trailer flipped at Colonel Howard Boulevard in the eastbound lanes leading to the PA Turnpike/I-76 entrance from Route 222 around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, according to East Cocalico Township police and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  "Both lanes will be closed for approximately 1-2 hours," the police wrote in a release. Tractor-Trailer Fire Shutters Part Of PA Turnpike: PennDOT A tractor-trailer caught on fire along the Pennsylvania Turnpike prompting a detour to be put in place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  The fire broke out in Upper Allen Township near mile marker 234.7 around 2:09 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA.  The turnpike is closed at the Gettysburg interchange. Cold CASE: Philly Man Found Dead Off Turnpike In Lancaster County State police investigators hope to shed new light on the 1991 murder of a West Philadelphia man.  Derek Michael Mason was last seen leaving his South 39th Street home in October of that year, according to troopers.  His remains were discovered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Clay Township, Lancaster County in January 1992. Tractor-Trailer Fire On PA Turnpike Caught On Camera (Video) A tractor-trailer fire closed part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Thursday evening, authorities said.  The Fairview Township Fire Department along with mutual aid responded to the "well-involved" fire on Interstate 76 westbound around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 19.
