A volunteer fire police officer who was struck dead in the line of duty has been identified by the York County Coroner's office on Sunday, Aug. 18. Brian Peek, 67, of Wilson Court, in Goldsboro, Newberry Township died after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Red Mill and Corn Hill roads in Newberry Township at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, according to the coroner's release and FEMA. K9 Chokes To Death In Police Training Exercise In Pennsylvania
A police dog is dead after choking on an unnamed object during a training exercise at his handler's home on Tuesday, Sept. 19, say Newberry Township police. The handler rendered "life-saving efforts" on Zar, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois-German Shepherd mix, but was unable to dislodge the foreign object from his airway, police said. York Co. Man Arrested By SWAT During Shelter-In-Place Incident ID'd: Police
The police have released the identity of a man they say caused a shelter-in-place order to be issued on Friday. Daniel J. Holbrook, 47, has been arrested, with the help of a SWAT team, after he broke into a home and violated a protection from abuse order in Fairview Township on June 23, 2023.
