Train Slams Into Mobile Home Hauled By Truck In Lancaster County (Developing) A train collided with a mobile home being hauled by a truck in Lancaster County, shutting down a crossing on Wednesday, Feb. 19, according to Lancaster County Wide Communication. The crash happened at the railroad tracks at South Groffdale Road in Upper Leacock Township at 12:10 p.m., emergency dispatch reported. The truck was crossing the tracks when the train struck the mobile home, according to dispatch. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but no injuries were reported. Woman Falls To Death From Bridge Above US Rt 30: Lancaster Coroner A woman sitting on a bridge over US Route 30 fell to her death and authorities have been unable to identify her, according to multiple releases coming out from Lancaster County on Tuesday morning.  The unnamed woman was seen by a witness sitting on the side wall of the New Holland Pike Bridge over US Rt 30 at 5:30 a.m. on July 2, according to a release by the Manheim Township police.  "By the time police arrived, she had fallen onto US 30," the police said adding,"The female appears to have been struck by multiple vehicles after falling to the roadway below." Fryer Fire At McDonald's, Lancaster Authorities Say A fryer fire affected school drop-off in Lancaster on Friday morning, according to the police.  Firefighters were called to the fire at the McDonald's located at 575 North Franklin Street in Lancaster at 6:59 a.m. on May 10, Lancaster County Wide Communication detailed.  The public was asked to avoid the area of the 500 block of N. Franklin Street as it closed to traffic between Lehigh Avenue and New Holland Avenue around 7:30 a.m., city police explained.  The police recommend that students being dropped off at JP McCaskey High School or Wickersham Elementary School go …

Amish Horse-Buggy Involved In Quarryville Crash: Authorities An Amish family's horse-and-buggy was involved in a crash in Quarryville on Tuesday morning, authorities explained. The crash happened on Beaver Valley Pike between Old and Fairview roads in Providence Township, according to Lancaster County Wide Communication. Crews were sent to the scene at 8:33 a.m. on March 14, LCWC detailed. "It was just a spooked horse," officials with the Quarryville Fire Company told Daily Voce. No motor vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported.
