A 31-year-old Philadelphia police officer has died from injuries he sustained in a line-of-duty shooting more than 2 months ago, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker announced on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Officer Jaime Roman had been in a coma at Temple University Hospital following a shooting on July 22, 2024. He passed away in the hospital just after 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, according to the Mayor. : Philly Thief Steals Car With Woman Sleeping Inside, Authorities Say
A 34-year-old woman was abducted when a thief stole the car she was sleeping in early Monday morning, March 4, according to Philadelphia police. It happened on the 800 block of East Allegheny Avenue in Kensington just before 2 a.m., the department said. Amanda Seyfried stopped by the Philadelphia Police Department's 26th District this week. The "Mean Girls" actress joined author Liz Moore for a ridealong in Philly's Kensington section on Tuesday, Jan. 23, according to officers. Seyfried will play the lead role in a TV adaptation of Moore's book, "Long Bright River,” in which a Philly cop searches for her missing sister in Kensington, police said.
