Double Allentown Murder Suspect Surrenders: Police
Gabriel Cartagena, the 44-year-old man wanted in connection with a double homicide last month in Allentown, has surrendered, police announced. Cartagena turned himself in on Thursday, Jan. 4, after warrants for his arrest on two counts of criminal homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and various weapons offenses were issued, Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca said. Woman ID'd In Lehigh After New Year's Day Harrisburg House Fire
A 65-year-old woman has been identified by the Lehigh County Coroner following a New Year's Day house fire in Harrisburg. Brenda L. Cuff of Harrisburg was pronounced dead in the Lehigh Valley Burn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest at 4:35 a.m. on Tuesday, January 02, 2024, coroner Daniel Buglio detailed in the release. Her cause of death was listed as "complications of 50-60% full thickness burns due to house fire." The manner was ruled accidental. 16-Year-Old Dead In Lehigh County Crash: Coroner
A 16-year-old boy was killed in a crash near a Lehigh County high school on Tuesday, Oct. 31, officials said. The boy was traveling in a vehicle the two-car crash at North Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard near the Emmaus High Schoo, just before 3 p.m., Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 1.
