Woman Dies After Less Than 24 Hours In Allegheny County Jail: Officials A woman who had only been in the Allegheny County Jail for one day has died, officials announced on Saturday, Sept. 14.  The unidentified 53-year-old woman passed away following a "medicinal incident" less than 24 hours after entering the jail, Acting Warden Shane T.
