Combative Patient Injures 2 EMTs During Ambulance Ride: PA State Police
A man was jailed after he became combative during an ambulance ride in Pennsylvania, injuring two EMTs, State Police announced on Sunday, Aug. 31.
James Zuppert, 58, of Nazareth, was being taken by Hamburg EMS from Upper Bern Township to Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital for chest pain and shortness of breath around 12:33 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, Pennsylvania State Police said.
While the ambulance was on Mountain Road in Tilden Township, Zuppert became uncooperative and combative, police said.

A 21-year-old woman was hospitalized after gunfire struck vehicles and homes in Pennsylvania overnight, police said.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Reno Place in Philadelphia’s 9th District around 3:41 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, for a report of a person with a gun.

The company that designs Tim Stockel's corn mazes had been trying to get Dolly Parton into cornfields for nearly three years.
The idea was simple: honor an American icon in the fall, when denim jackets, country music, and getting lost in a cornfield just seem to fit.
Finally, in February, Parton's team agreed to a one-year licensing arrangement allowing participating farms to use her image in corn mazes designed by The Maize Company.
