An adult son is charged with homicide after his mother was found beaten to death on her front porch surrendered following an hours-long manhunt in Pennsylvania, authorities said.
Jakob Michael Korber, 29, of West Newton, is charged with criminal homicide in the death of his mother, Christin Hamilton, court records obtained by Daily Voice on Monday, Aug. 31, show.
Korber was taken into custody after returning to the area of Hamilton's home on Herminie West Newton Road in Sewickley Township on Sunday, Aug. 30, according to state police and court documents.

Alexis Flores, who spent more than 25 years as a fugitive, was captured in Lepaera, Honduras, on Feb. 11 by the FBI's Transnational Anti-Gang Task Force and Honduran authorities, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. A young volunteer EMT who dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon died after fighting for his life for two days following a scooter crash in Pennsylvania, his family and fire company announced.
Taha Chomelawala, 21, and a 2023 Conestoga High School graduate from Tredyffrin Township, was involved in the crash on the afternoon of Sunday, Aug. 23, according to a GoFundMe launched for his family.

More than 114,000 infant car seats are being recalled because their carrying handles can partially detach, increasing the risk that a child could fall and be injured.
Britax Child Safety issued the recall for 114,660 B-Safe infant car seats, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report submitted on Thursday, Aug. 20. A man was jailed after he became combative during an ambulance ride in Pennsylvania, injuring two EMTs, State Police announced on Sunday, Aug. 31.
