A 35-year-old woman from Hazleton has been charged with child endangerment after locking her child out of the house while high, authorities said. On Saturday, Aug 25, at approximately 3 a.m., officers with the Hazleton City Police Department were dispatched to West Elm Street and Poplar Street for a report of a child locked out of their home. Police have identified two suspects at large following an armed carjacking in which a vehicle was taken with an infant inside in Upper Darby Friday afternoon, Aug. 30. Phillis Fugah, 23, from Upper Darby, and Ian Dean, 21, of Philadelphia, approached a man waiting for his wife on West Chester Pike around 3:10 p.m., UDPD Superintendent Timothy M. Bernhardt said. Motorist, 56, Killed In 2-Car Crash In Berks County: Coroner
A 56-year-old man from Schuylkill County was killed in a two-car crash in Berks County, authorities said. Brian T. Strubhar of Pine Grove Township died in the crash at about 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 6890 Penn Ave. in Heidelberg Township, according to Berks County Chief Deputy Coroner George Holmes. A 42-year-old man from Northampton County was arrested on a warrant related to his possessing an explosive device, authorities said. Thomas Stocker Jr. was arrested on Friday, Aug. 30 in Monroe County, according to Slate Belt Regional Police. A husband and wife have been arrested on homicide charges after an assault left a woman dead in the couple's Harrisburg apartment on Thursday, August 29, the police announced the following morning. A mom has been missing since Wednesday morning, Aug. 28, West Lampeter Township police announced on Thursday afternoon. Candace Mulron, 45, of West Lampeter Township was last seen in the area of Bank Barn Road, West Lampeter Township, around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the police detailed in the release. She was wearing a blue striped shirt and blue jeans at the time of her disappearance. She is a mom, according to public records. Harleysville Driver, 36, Killed In Bucks County Crash
A 36-year-old driver from Montgomery County was killed in a crash in Bucks County, authorities said. Robert Strohm, of Harleysville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at about 6:30 p.m., according to Hilltown police.
