Coroner IDs Reading Man Killed In Route 183 Crash
Officials have named the driver who died after a crash near Bernville on Thursday morning, May 30. Daniel R. Schneider, 28, was headed south on the 6400 block of Bernville Road/Route 183 in Penn Township around 4:15 a.m., according to state police and the Berks Coroner's Office. Schneider's Chrysler 300 crossed into the northbound lane and hit a Toyota Highlander head-on, troopers said. Man ID'd After Fatal Fire In Pottstown: Coroner
A 53-year-old man died after the early morning blaze in Pottstown on Thursday, May 30, according to officials. Bradley Ludwig died from complications of thermal burns and smoke inhalation, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. The manner of death was ruled accidental. Authorities have said the fire broke out on the fifth floor of the Robert P. Smith Towers, 501 High Street, just after 6 a.m. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Early Morning Pottstown Fire Sends 5 To Hospital, Officials Say
Multiple residents are being treated for injuries and smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in Pottstown on Thursday, May 30. First responders were called to the Robert P. Firefighters were called to a small blaze at the Happy Wash Day laundromat on Bridge Street Friday morning, May 17. Officials said clothes in a dryer caught fire around 11 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the building and smoldering laundry in one machine, Phoenixville Fire Department said.
