A man who lived in a van near a Lancaster County park repeatedly sexually assaulted two young girls in his care, the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Bryan A. Wilson, 37, of Elizabethtown, has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault of a child, child pornography, and related offenses, according to Elizabethtown Borough police.

Wilson was living in his van near Elizabethtown Area Park on Ken Lane in May 2024 when he sexually abused the 3- and 5-year-old victims, authorities said. The children later told their mother that Wilson had "hurt" them, sparking a police investigation.

During forensic interviews, the victims detailed how Wilson used a marker to touch and penetrate them, then forced one of them to touch his genitals, investigators said. When questioned, Wilson told police he was “explaining where babies come from,” as explained in the DA's release.

A search of his van uncovered a cellphone containing images of nude juvenile girls, which Wilson claimed to have obtained from a social media website, police said.

Wilson, who has no fixed address, waived his preliminary hearing before Judge Randall Miller on Feb. 6. His case will proceed to county court, with Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Ponessa prosecuting.

Elizabethtown Borough Police Officer Edward Wengiel filed the charges. Wilson remains in custody awaiting trial.
