East Pennsboro officers were called for a welfare check at a home on the 1400 block of 3rd Street on Friday, Jan. 10 at 9 p.m., where they found Rhea Nellida Grove, 60, and Alissa Ann Gonzalez, according to authorities.

During their investigation, police discovered that a juvenile inside the home had ingested drugs that had been left within reach, putting the child in serious danger, officers said.

Grove and Gonzalez are now facing charges, including endangering the welfare of children, police said. Their preliminary hearing is set before Magisterial District Judge Sanderson.
