Knife Falls Out Of Student's Backpack At Charter School: PA State Police
A student at a Chester County school is in trouble with police after a knife fell out of their backpack, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers were called to the Avon Grove Charter School, located at 110 East State Road, West Grove, at about 11:18 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, state police said.
The knife is described as a pocketknife which was discovered when it fell out of the student's backpack, according to state police.

Two men have been arrested after police say they found a loaded gun and drugs in a backpack they'd tossed from a vehicle containing a child after a crash in Chester County.
Officers responding to a single-vehicle crash on the 600 block of Market Street around 8 p.m. Monday Feb. 5, found three adults and a small child in the car, Oxford police said.

A suspected Chester County heroin dealer is in police custody after spending nearly four years on the lam, authorities say.
Jubenal Renteria, 27, of West Grove, was arrested by state troopers on Saturday, Dec. 3, and held at Chester County Prison after he was unable to post $10,000 bail, said Oxford Borough police in a statement.
According to detectives, Renteria was one of 77 people charged in "Operation Wildfire," a January 2019 investigation targeting Chester County's illicit heroin and opiate trade.

DUI Driver Who Nearly Caused Crash Tried Leaving Heroin In Patrol Car, Police Say
A Delaware driver who almost hit another vehicle in Chester County who refused to submit a chemical test of his blood tried to leave heroin and other narcotics in the back of a police car, authorities said.
Police stopped William J. Roy IV, on the 100 block of Prospect Avenue in West Grove around 9:55 p.m. April 6, the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department said in a release.
