SEPTA Police Probe Train Assault Captured On Video: Report
Police in Philadelphia are investigating after a video showed an apparent assault on a SEPTA train Wednesday afternoon, 6abc reports. A group of three girls were caught on video shouting obscenities at another group before punching and kicking a girl on the Broad Street Line train near Erie station, the news outlet says. The Philadelphia Transit Workers Union is calling for the resignation of Transit Police Chief Thomas Nestel following the senseless beating of a helpless worker Monday. Newly-released surveillance footage shows a group of about a dozen hoodie-clad individuals punching the 55-year-old worker at the 15th Street/City Hall subway station.
