A Caernarvon Township teenager who attacked his father with a BB gun and a knife after declaring he was “going to kill my dad today” has been sentenced to 3 to 6 years in state prison, authorities announced on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Nicholas Martin, 17, pleaded guilty on Oct. 28 to aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, and simple assault, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office. Along with his prison term, Martin was ordered to pay over $226,000 in restitution to cover his father's medical expenses.

A Bristol Borough man was sentenced to up to three decades in Pennsylvania State Prison for killing his 4-month-old son, authorities said.
Tyler Sullivan, 31, was sentenced to 15 to 30 years in state prison on Tuesday, Aug. 27 on murder and child endangerment charges by Common Pleas Judge Gary B. Gilman.

A couple who filmed.their sexual abuse of three child is heading to prison, according to a release by the Bucks County district attorney's office.
Leonard F. Hewitt Sr., 51, and Krystyn Anne Smock, 40, both of Bristol Township, committed the acts for more than four years from January 2014 to October 2019, according to officials.
One of the victims came forward in January 2020, leading to their arrests shortly after, the release states.

A Gloucester County, NJ, motorist who admits being drunk when he fatally hit a Philadelphia passenger who had just stepped out of his car, has been sentenced to five years in state prison, authorities said.
Jesus A. Leal-Corona, 49, of Monroeville, was driving on Route 77 in Elk Township on Sept. 27, 2019, when he struck Frankie L. Hensley, 24, of Philadelphia, police said.
Hensley was a passenger in a car involved in an earlier crash. He had stepped out of the car to check on the driver of the other vehicle, according to police.
Hensley was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
