Details Released In Crash That Killed Firefighter Joe Kay Details have been released in the crash that killed a volunteer Bucks County firefighter over the weekend. Kay, 35, was the passenger in an unregistered Polaris side-by-side UTV that crashed in Hilltown early Sunday morning, June 2, the Bucks County Prosecutor's Office said. According to investigators, a Hilltown police officer tried to stop the Polaris after it veered partially off the road around 1 a.m. The DA's office said the vehicle "should not have been operating on the road" due to its lack of registration. Racing Fan Dies The Day After Crashing On The Way To His Grandmother's Funeral In Pennsylvania A 24-year-old racing fan died the day after a serious car crash while on the way to his grandmother's funeral. Brady Allen Couch, of Carlisle was driving his 1998 Nissan Altima at West Lisburn and South Old Stonehouse roads when he pulled into the intersection and was struck by a 2010 Chevy Silverado driven by Benjamin L. Mauchamer, 28, of Mechanicsburg, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police. Lehigh Valley Native, Longtime Nursing Home Volunteer Kristin Herpel Dies, 24 Lehigh Valley native and longtime nursing home volunteer Kristin Ann Herpel died Feb. 13 at the age of 24. Herpel attended Parkland High School, where she graduated in 2015, her obituary says. She then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Cedar Crest College in 2019, her memorial says. Herpel had been working at Brookdale Assisted Living in Dublin for the past year, her obit says. She was also a longtime volunteer at Cedarbrook nursing home in Allentown.
