Philadelphia Union's goalkeeper has died, Major League Soccer and the club announced.
Holden Trent, 25, of Greensboro, North Carolina, was found dead on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 26, according to the team. His cause and manner of death were unavailable at the time of publishing.

Alex Cooper, host and creator of the popular podcast “Call Her Daddy,” revealed she is working through a traumatic experience she had with a coach while playing soccer at Boston University.

Kalil ElMedkhar might be grieving the loss of his mom to cancer, but he's got a whole team of support.
The 23-year-old Loudoun United FC midfielder, who was raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, lost his mom, 65-year-old Helena Schroyer, after a cancer battle on June 27, as reported by Delaware Online.
In addition to a GoFundMe campaign for the American Cancer Society, launched in Helena's memory by supporters of Loudoun United, proceeds from bids on the team's match against Sacramento Republic on Aug. 19 will go toward fighting cancer.

Ambler Army Veteran, Justin Slater Dies, 37
Justin Slater of Montgomery County died on Feb. 16, 2021. He was 37 years old.
Born in Huntingdon Valley, and a native to Ambler, Slater served with the U.S. Army in the 1st Infantry Division during the Iraq War, his obituary says.
He graduated in 2002 from Wissahickon High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from Temple University, his obit says.
Slater's obituary remembered him as an "avid soccer fan" and as someone who "enjoyed helping people."
