A jury has convicted a 28-year-old Philadelphia man for the 2021 fatal shooting of an elderly bicyclist in Camden, authorities said.z.
Maurice Peaker, Jr., was found guilty on Tuesday, Aug. 15, of first-degree murder in the death of 67-year-old Thomas Smith of Camden, according to announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay

A series of shootings left three people wounded in Atlantic City, authorities said.
At 10:41 p.m. Monday, Atlantic City patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of Drexel Avenue in reference to a ShotSpotter alert, a police spokesman said.
There was evidence of gunfire located, but no victim located on Drexel, police said.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting of a Philadelphia man, authorities said.
Anthony T. Shields, 20, and Jony Ramos, 21, both of Camden, were both arrested and charged on Thursday March 11 with first-degree felony murder and weapons offenses, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

A man from Galloway Township and a woman from Atlantic City were wounded by gunfire on Tuesday night, authorities said.
At 9:32 pm, Atlantic City patrol officers responded to the first block of south Florida Avenue on a ShotSpotter alert, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a city police spokesman.
A man and woman, who were in the same vehicle, were wounded in the gunfire, Fair said. Their names have not been released.
