A 51-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed when he lost control of his SUV and rolled over multiple times on a Maryland roadway, state police announced. John Thomas Green III, 51, was driving his 2004 silver Toyota Highlander in Washington County at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2 in the area of Downsville Pike at Rench Road in Hagerstown when he unexpectedly crashed, authorities said. 6 Killed, 80 Vehicles Towed From I-81 Snow Squall Crash: PA State Police
The crash on Interstate 81 that was caused by a snow squall on Monday, is now know to have led to the deaths of 6 people and involved 80 vehicles, according to Pennsylvania state police Trooper Boehm. The vehicles included 39 commercial and 41 passenger vehicles on Mar. 28, Boehm says. The family of a 9-year-old Bergenfield boy who was killed when his bicycle collided with a commuter bus 2½ years ago has reportedly settled a negligence lawsuit for $1.6 million. Alvin Maracallo was headed in the same direction on West Church Street when the driver of the New Jersey Transit bus turned left onto Veterans Plaza, hitting him as he entered the crosswalk shortly before 4 p.m. May 27, 2019.
