PA Flagger, Mom Struck In Hit-And-Run Faces Long Road To Recovery: Family
A Harrisburg flagger is recovering from devastating injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run crash, her family told Daily Voice on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
April Hoyrup, a mother of two, was hit by a dark blue or black Audi while flagging at the intersection of Paxton and Cameron streets on Friday, Nov. 22, at around 2:30 a.m., according to her mother, Sharon Downing. The driver fled the scene.

Boy Injured By Float In PA Halloween Parade: Community Comes To The Rescue
A Berks County boy was tragically injured after he was run over by a float at a local Halloween parade, according to a community member trying to raise money for the family.
Nico Rizzo, 8, of Boyertown, was on a float with his football team in the Boyertown Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 19, a GoFundMe campaign started by Abby Mackey, his friend's mother, states.
"As Nico went to step back onto the trailer, his foot slipped and got caught under the wheel," Mackey said on the campaign page. "He quickly became trapped under the wheels of his float's trailer."

Boy, 14, Suffers Brain Injury While Struck Riding Scooter Home From Pool In Delco, Family Says
Friday, July 26 was shaping up to be a usual day for Michael McCullough.
He had spent the day at the pool and was riding home in Marple Township.
Just before 7 p.m., when took a turn for the worst: The 14-year-old was struck by a southbound vehicle while crossing Sproul and Lawrence roads, police said.
Officers found him in the roadway and he was rushed to Lankenau Hospital.
The boy's parents were notified and the driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene, fully cooperative with officers, they said.

The two men who were shot during a Trump rally in Pennsylvania and left in critical condition have had their conditions upgraded, Allegheny Hospital Officials told Daily Voice on Wednesday, July 17.
David Dutch, 57 of New Kensington, PA, and James Copenhaver, 74 of Moon Township, PA, were in critical condition following the shooting by Thomas Matthew Crooks at the Trump rally on Saturday, July 13.

Pennsbury HS Grad Morgan Hughes Dies At 26
Bucks County native Morgan P. Hughes died unexpectedly on Oct. 1 at the age of 26.
Born in Bristol and raised in Levittown, Hughes graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2013, according to her obituary.
Her obit remembered her as someone who "helped many people in their journey to recovery."
