Five Pennsylvanians were arrested for operating a straw purchase gun trafficking ring in Montgomery, Philadelphia, Berks, and Lancaster counties, authorities said Friday. Daveese Smith, 21, of Norristown; Darell Smith, 25, of Philadelphia; Maliqa Jack, 25 of Pottstown; Donaya Williams, 22, of Philadelphia; and Tanisha Allen (AKA Tanisha Smith), 42, of Norristown are accused of illegally obtaining and reselling 14 firearms, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. A massive straw purchase gun trafficking organization in which members illegally obtained then resold 31 firearms across Pennsylvania was dismantled with 14 people in custody, authorities said Wednesday. DA: Teen Who Lead Illegal PA Firearm Ring, Accidentally Shot Himself Will Stand Trial As Adult
A Norristown teen who accidentally shot himself will be standing trial as an adult for his leadership role in a major Pennsylvania gun trafficking organization, authorities said. Rahajahi Taylor Batchelor, 17, was among nine other adults charged in late September for illegally obtaining and reselling 44 firearms in Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties in July and August 2020, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R.
