Authorities in Bucks County are investigating after a man was found dead on the side of Street Road on Wednesday afternoon. Police in Warrington Township were called to the road's westbound lane at the Neshaminy Creek bridge between Valley and Paul Valley Roads for reports of an unresponsive person at about 3 p.m., the department said in a statement. A 56-year-old Jeep driver tried escaping from his sinking vehicle after running a red light hitting multiple vehicles then becoming submerged in Neshaminy Creek, the Bucks County Courier Times reports citing a news release. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20. It started when the red 2014 Jeep ran the light on Newportville Road onto Bristol Pike and struck a pickup truck, the outlet said quoting Bristol police. Resident, Firefighter Hospitalized After Lower Southampton Fire
A resident and a firefighter were hospitalized following a house fire in Lower Southampton early Monday morning, authorities said. Crews had difficulties stretching water supply lines to the Acorn Road home as it was along the Neshaminy Creek, according to the Lower Southampton Fire Department. Firefighters were able to extinguish the 3 a.m. fire and protect neighboring homes from any damage, authorities said. 14-Year-Old Boy Airlifted After Near Drowning In Neshaminy Creek, Authorities Say
A 14-year-old boy was airlifted after nearly drowning in the Neshaminy Creek Thursday afternoon, authorities said. Crews were dispatched at 2:40 p.m. to the creek near the Middletown Township border, where they found the boy with a pulse, but breathing shallowly, Middletown Township police chief Joe Batorilla told Daily Voice. The boy was possibly submerged for about three to five minutes, and had some head trauma, Bartorilla said. A truck driver died in a Pennsylvania Turnpike crash overnight Friday. The tractor-trailer went off the Turnpike bridge in the eastbound lanes and landed along the banks of Neshaminy Creek below around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, near the Newportville Road overpass in Bristol Township.
