Two young children and their parents were found dead in their Westmoreland County home in an apparent murder-suicide, authorities announced. Paul Swarner, 35, his wife Karen (Powers) Swarner, 32, and their two children, Evelyn, 5, and Connor, 1, were discovered in the same room at their home on 140 Keck Lane in Hempfield Township late Thursday night, Jan. 23, Pennsylvania State Police said. The murder-suicide victims found in a Central Pennsylvania home over the weekend have been identified as a recently engaged couple. Timothy Hanford, 49, is believed to have fatally shot his fiance, Carolyn (Hand) Eash, 57, in a home on the 800 block of Grantham Road in Upper Allen Township, Mechanicsburg, before turning the gun on himself, local officials said.
